Forklift & Powered-Equipment Safety

The English vocabulary, safe-operation, and inspection language behind certified forklift and powered-equipment training. Counterbalance, reach truck, order picker, walkie pallet jack, electric tugger — what they're called and how they're used. Pre-op inspection language, hand signals for spotters, safe loading and unloading, pedestrian safety, near-miss reporting, and battery/charging maintenance. (This course is English support — it does not replace operator training. In Ontario there is no government forklift licence: only a trained, competent worker may operate a forklift, and your employer must check your competence. Training often follows the CSA B335 standard. Rules differ by province.)
